We go for seminars, listen to webinars, read twenty or more books about how to make money online.
This is called information overload. It reminds me about an ad on TV advertising one of the search engines that gives us accurate information. Two women are sitting at the restaurant table and having conversation. One of them is being asked about something and all of the sudden she processes the information like a computer and starts talking like a machine.
Internet marketing is similar. We are interested in the subject, but we do not know where to start and we pick one strategy of one Internet Guru and then we drop it after ten days as it does not work. Then we pick up another one, something new and exciting and we repeat the same process again and again. Finally, because we do not see the results, we give up after spending few thousand dollars on several trainings.
What is the mindset we shall have in Internet Marketing?
Many of Internet Marketers will say they are making millions on the Internet and maybe they are Internet Geniuses, maybe they have money to invest and get somebody else do the work for them. Average person like you and me, we want to learn things step by step and understand the process before getting the rewards.
We spend some money on the training and we want to see the results first.
Internet is the amazing vehicle to reach as many people in the whole world as possible. Virtually, anyone who has access to the Internet can read our post, advert, and offer and buy our product or the product we advertise.
Be determined
If you look at some of the most successful Internet Marketers, they spend sleepless nights before becoming successful. They spend lots of money and given up their personal life in order to become successful.
I"ve been attending some of the Internet marketing seminars and they are all very inspiring. These are events when we get to speak to the Internet Marketers, to other people who are already making money online, but also to the people who are trying like us.
When we share the information, the most important thing that comes up is that we do not get the support from our families. It is very rare that our parents, partners will stand strongly beside us and say "I believe in you". We are determined to make it happen and work hard on it for some time, but it is quite difficult to keep on believing in something that even our loved ones do not believe in and they keep on discouraging us.
One of my friends told me how his friends always try to take him for a drink, or are saying that he is losing his time on the Internet. It makes him feel bad and obviously he does not do any work.
We have to be wise enough to take on the criticism and somehow rejection and be persistent. Make a deal with yourself that those who are laughing at you now, will be jealous of you in the next few months.
